We are immensely proud that Avans University of Applied Sciences has once again been proclaimed the best major university of applied sciences in the Netherlands. Every year, the Dutch Centre for Higher Education Information examines the quality of higher education in the Full-time Higher Professional Education Options Guide 2012.

The basic principle of Avans University of Applied Sciences is rooted in and springs from its social environment. To maintain and expand its value within its environment, Avans must continue to meet the changing demands of the labour market and the world of work.

Avans University of Applied Sciences, aims to operate as a single unit consisting of:

Facilities at Avans

You are looking for a study programme abroad. Naturally you are looking first and foremost for information on the contents of the many courses on offer. But you also want to know what facilities Avans University of Applied Sciences has to offer, such as our knowledge centre Xplora, IT facilities, the Avans café and restaurant, sports facilities, student societies, and so on.

Fees

New students, academic year 2012-2013:
  • Bachelor’s and master’s students, EEA or Dutch nationality - € 1771
  • Bachelor’s and master’s students, non-EEA - € 7650
  • Preparatory Course students (full year) - € 7650
  • Preparatory Course students (half year) - € 3825
  • Exchange students generally do not pay tuition fee to Avans University of Applied Sciences

Applying

If you have decided to pursue a study programme at Avans University of Applied Sciences, obviously you will need to register for it.
As a bachelor's student, you must enrol via the Studielink website*. Studielink is an on-line enrolment wizard that allows you to apply for enrolment or re-enrolment on a course at a government-funded institution of higher education in the Netherlands.

To ensure that your application via Studielink runs smoothly, we strongly advise that you use the Studielink Instruction Manual. That way, you are following the proper enrolment process. Also check the studielink website for more information.
