Študentska arena is the largest and most important educational fair and career event organised for students and young people in Slovenia. For ten years now, it has constantly kept up to date with the needs of students and other young people of Slovenia, offering them indispensable information on education, career opportunities, and quality leisure time possibilities.
The fair brings together more than 150 local and international exhibitors from different fields, including universities and faculties, recruitment companies, student employment agencies, various governmental and non-governmental organisations, and a range of sports, cultural, entertainment, as well as tourist organisations. In 2011, 18,000 visitors and over 227 exhibitors gathered at the exhibition.
The Slovenian school system has seen a number of changes in recent years, aiming to ensure that as many people as possible realise their right to education, better than before, thus achieving a higher educational level.
2012 will mark the 13th anniversary of Študentska. To celebrate it, the organisers of Študentska arena will invite various prominent and famous guests and prepare many different events in the framework of the fair. This way, the 11th Študentska arena will continue the tradition of featuring many interesting and insightful presentations as well as additional opportunities for networking and building contacts, from the previous years.
Visitors will be able to gather different information from the exhibitors at the fair exhibition, absorb new knowledge at more than 80 lectures, workshops, and round table discussions in the educational programme, or relax and enjoy themselves taking part in one of many activities planned in the accompanying programme.
A special part of the exhibition – the International Square – will be reserved for international organisations, enabling the visitors a better overview of the global opportunities available to them.
In the accompanying programme, the Arena Gallery will give an opportunity to young creatives to present their artistic works, while the Main Stage will be open to stand up comedians, different dance groups, and other performers to present their talents to the audience.
Študentska arena fair is supported by the Student Organisation of the University of Ljubljana and regularly attended by organisations and institutions such as Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes, Slovene Human Resources Development and Scholarship Fund, Employment Service of Slovenia, and others.
