EDUCATION - International Education Fair in Greece

EDUCATION was first organised in 1999. Today, in its 12th edition, it has evolved to a well established event of international appeal that is well anticipated by exhibitors and visitors.

Running under the aegis of the Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning & Religious Affairs, the General Secretariat for Youth and the Municipality of Athens, EDUCATION is the only complete international exhibition in Greece serving the educational market.

With attendance growing significantly year after year, EDUCATION is not only the premier and only complete exhibition on education in Greece but also one of the key educational fairs in Europe. It is an event that serves the entire education industry by providing a quality exhibition environment and on-site features and site-events that are valuable and informative for both participants and visitors.

More than 19,000 high-school students, undergraduate and graduate students, parents, educators and people of every age visit the exhibition in order to receive accurate information on the educational opportunities offered to them at every age: from school to university, postgraduate and life-long education and training.

The general feeling among exhibitors, as reflected in the exhibitor survey of previous events, and particularly that of 2009 is that the majority of visitors are of a very high quality, meaning they are well informed and knowledgeable of their objectives, making communication with them easier and much more effective. 

Approximately 250 exhibitors from 15 countries participate each year in EDUCATION.  The previous edition in 2009 hosted participants from the following countries: Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, United States of America, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland.  International participants included educational institutes coming as direct exhibitors from the respective countries as well as foreign Embassies in Greece.

Starting in 2004, the exhibition has established the annual theme of the Country of Honour. 2010 Country of Honour: Holland. Nuffic and the Dutch higher education institutions at the fair will offer all the required information about Holland as an ideal destination for superior studies and acquisition of high-quality knowledge. Previous Countries of Honour: France (2004), The Netherlands (2005), Germany (2006), USA (2007), Italy (2008), Cyprus (2009).

The exhibition is promoted through an aggressive, yet targeted marketing campaign encompassing a variety of effective marketing tools to reach all visitor segments.

EDUCATION’s aim is to present in a vivid and organised way a wide range of undergraduate and post-graduate programmes offered by public and private educational institutes, operating in Greece and overseas. Enriched by a series of parallel events on education, career and employment, EDUCATION is a must-attend event for all young people in quest for quality education and employment.
