Degrees Ahead UK Overseas Universities Road Show

Degrees Ahead has been established since 2007 and provides a proven service to overseas universities for the marketing and recruitment of UK and Irish students. Our success is reflected by the growing number of leading internationally recognised universities that have chosen to work with us. Our experience with the UK and Irish student recruitment market has enabled the company to develop intelligent marketing strategies and recruitment campaigns. The companies professional and imaginative approach complements the efforts of international universities to increase there cohorts of undergraduate and postgraduate students from the UK and Ireland.

The inaugural UK Overseas Universities Road Show will be go to four regional centres in the UK; Guildford, Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester. The centres have been chosen because of; high levels of enquiries, density and diversity of educational establishments in the areas and connections with career advisors. Universities will have there own exhibition area supplied with table and chairs and options on electricity and internet connections. A guide will be produced which provides information for students wanting to study overseas including the advantages of studying overseas, inline with Degrees Ahead environmental awareness the guide is printed on recycled paper.

Each Road Show will run from 1.00pm to 8.00pm with students attending throughout. Afternoon sessions will focus on informing careers advisors of opportunities at overseas universities, as well as general on studying overseas and specific sessions on target areas. The event is promoted to careers advisors at private and state schools, Higher and Further Education colleges, and universities. In the months previous to each event Degrees Ahead attends educational fairs in the region and gives seminars at schools and universities, educating and informing students of the advantages of studying overseas. The emphasis of all the promotional work is inform students of the opportunity to meet universities at the Road Show, the rationale behind this is that UK students are taught to visit universities before enrolling at university, with overseas universities it is not always possible so we encourage students the next best thing to meet universities in country. Previous events have seen that this approach has resulted in the attendance of focused students at the fairs.
