British Education Exhibition

The British Education Exhibition in Russia will take place in October 2010 after the 18th International Education Fair. It is the international education fair which specialises in promoting British Education in Saint Petersburg in Russia. Education UK and British Council Russia began organising Education UK Exhibitions in Moscow 10 years ago. Since 2003 the British Education Exhibitions have been taking place around the main Education UK exhibition in Moscow.

During the last five years citizens of Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St Petersburg and Ekaterinburg were able to receive first-hand information on educational programmes offered by British education institutions – boarding schools, universities, colleges, language centres, institutions of further education.

The advantages of a British education are more understandable to many Russian people now. The United Kingdom has become one of the most popular destinations for studying abroad. It is believed that every 3rd Russian student studing abroad is a student of a British education institution.

The British Education Exhibition have become traditional events in Russia and this year this tradition will go on. In 2010 the British Education Exhibitions will be held in St Petersburg. The British education institutions will have a unique opportunity to evaluate personally the Russian education market for international study, from the Baltic Sea and in to Russia. The fair is ideal for meeting prospective students and their parents face-to-face, providing young Russians with information first-to-face on study opportunities in the UK and to create links and begin co-operation with educational agents and Russian educational institutions.

The main aims of the exhibition are:

  • to increase the total flow of Russian students to the UK
  • to provide new recruitment opportunities for UK institutions
  • to create interest in and demand for distance learning, language learning and degree programmes in Business Administration, Law, IT, Banking, Finance, etc.
  • to assist British institutions to make links and begin cooperation with higher education institutions and study abroad agencies within the Russian regions.
