China 13th Liaoning International Education Exhibition, officially hosted by the Education Department of Liaoning Province, has been successfully held for eight years since the year 2000. In 2012, its 12th edition will be scheduled in July, the most active season when Chinese students are preparing to study abroad.
China Liaoning International Education Exhibition (CLIEE) will again make a recruitment tour to Dalian and Shenyang, the two major cities of Liaoning province. It will provide a good platform for international recruiters to meet students face-to-face from these three and neighbouring cities of the province. The event also provides brilliant network opportunities for international recruiters to meet local agents and education institutions from China.
In 2011, over 7,000 local visitors were drawn to the previous exhibitions from the hosting cities and neighbouring regions of the province. China Liaoning International Education Exhibition received over 90 institutions and service providers from 18 countries and regions. Their participation offered a comprehensive spectrum of programs to the local Chinese students ranging from language, vocational education, further education, undergraduate, graduate programs, agents, culture and education promotion sections of embassies & consulates, financial and testing service providers.
According to figures from the Ministry of Education, there were 339,700 Chinese students studying abroad last year, a 19 percent increase from 2010.
Liaoning province is located in the South of the Northern China with a population of 42,710,000 people. Liaoning Province's proximity to the sea has given its commercial and strategic advantages throughout its history.
Shenyang is the capital city of Liaoning province. Being the 4th largest city in China, it is connected by rail with all the major cities of Liaoning and with Beijing as well as North Korea. Shenyang is a leading manufacturing hub in a highly industrialised area, having one of the largest machine tool plants in China. There are 89 vocational junior and senior middle schools with 55,000 students and 10 adult schools, training 13,900 students annually. Shenyang is also equipped with 25 universities and colleges with 350,000 students.
City is located at the east coast of Eurasia and the southern tip of north-east China. It is a marine gateway, the chief commercial port of north-east China and an oil exporting port. Dalian is also a major industrial centre with large shipyards, fisheries, an oil refinery, textile mills, chemical and fertiliser plants. In 2005, the enrolling rate of senior high schools reached 91.5% and more than 80,000 technicians were trained in various fields.
CLIEE was established in 2000 and has grown to be the leading specialized international education fair in Northeast China. It was well accepted and recognized by the participating universities/colleges and student service providers. Local students from the province regarded CLIEE as a reliable, authoritative and informative event where they are able to compare schools, talk with the enrollers face-to-face and get assistance from the service providers.
